America’s professional football team from Pennsylvania, The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced their first gaming partner – BetMGM. The American global sports betting and entertainment company has recently acquired online casino and sports betting license in the Keystone State, allowing it to go live across the territory in the upcoming period.
Pittsburgh Steelers compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the American Football Conference North division and represent the 5th oldest franchise in the entire competition.
In Due Course
In recent weeks, BetMGM has extended a great deal of partnerships across the United States, including a distribution agreement with Scientific Games, a sports betting arrangement with Las Vegas Raiders and a content treaty with NetEnt in Virginia. The partnership with Pittsburgh Steelers comes at the right time as sports betting gains huge momentum across the territory of the United States.
According to the Steelers, branching out into a new fruitful area will “cater to the needs of its loyal fanbase,” since the operator must now fulfill a host of roles in relation to fan-focused initiatives. Furthermore, BetMGM has gained access to Steelers logos and marks in communications regarding product, social media, marketing and digital properties as well, as stated in the report.
As the official sports betting partner of the Steelers, BetMGM has fully commited itself to launching the entire online sports betting product by the end of this year. With that said, the operator is also going to sponsor the Steelers Kickoff pregame show, titled the ‘Steelers Kickoff Presented by BetMGM.’
Aside from this show, the agreement includes TV commercial spots during the “Mike Tomlin Weekly Press Conference” on Tuesdays, “Steelers Weekly” and “The Mike Tomlin Show” on Saturdays.
Chief revenue officer of BetMGM, Matt Prevost, said:
“Steelers Nation is one of the most passionate fan bases in professional sports and we’re thrilled to bring the excitement of BetMGM to Steelers fans. We’re eager to launch BetMGM’s gaming offering in Pennsylvania and I can’t think of a better way to kick off our entry into the state than through this monumental partnership.”
Ryan Huzjak, vice president of sales and marketing at Pittsburgh Steelers shares the excitement and further comments the partnership:
“Not only will BetMGM be elevating some of our existing platforms, but they will be introducing new and exciting opportunities to Steelers fans. We are looking forward to kicking off this partnership.”
