Legal Michigan Sportsbooks Launching With Easy Money Bet Offers

With the launch of online sportsbooks and casinos mere minutes away in Michigan, some of the operators are readying for blast-off with special betting offers (in addition to their deposit bonuses).

Michigan Online Sportsbook Welcome Offers

DraftKings is offering a handful of offers for Michigan residents, starting with Friday’s Pistons game against the Houston Rockets, where bettors can double their money (maximum bet of $25) if the Pistons hit just a single three-pointer during the contest.

NFL Championship Sunday

Another easy double opportunity at DraftKings will take place during Sunday’s NFL Championship games; if any team scores a touchdown, bettors will realize a 100% profit, and that bet allows for a $50 maximum wager.

No Pistons Cover, No Problem

PointsBet is also offering an enticing Pistons betting boost, this one for Saturday’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers. Bettors who place a $25+ bet on the Pistons moneyline will receive $1 in free bets for every point the Pistons score. So even if they lose — spoiler alert, they will not be favored — bettors will still cash in with a relatively large amount in free bets.

PointsBet is also offering an all-month promotion in which if you end the month of January with a profit, the site will double your winnings in free bets up to $100. And if you lost money? PointsBet will refund you up to that same $100 in free bets.

McGregor is back to the octagon

BetMGM is running a pair of no-brainer bets this weekend for Michigan residents.

First up: Bet a buck to win $100 worth of free bets if Conor McGregor defeats Dustin Poirier Saturday night at UFC 257. Additionally, a second $1 bet to win $100 in free bets applies for bettors who place a moneyline wager on either NFL Championship game; if your preferred team scores a touchdown, you’ll win $100 in free bets, even if they lose the game.

As per usual with all other states that have gone live, all of the sportsbooks are offering first deposit bonuses.

Well, almost all.

Barstool is taking a different approach with its Michigan launch: For every dollar deposited in initial deposits and wagered over the course of Friday through the weekend, Penn National Gaming will match it in donations to the Barstool Fund, with the donation specifically aimed at helping struggling Michigan businesses.

Dave Portnoy, the face of the sportsbook, took to Twitter to announce it, kind of, and in the process, take a shot at the competition.

(This article will be updated when/if other sportsbooks post special bet boosts for launch weekend.)
