DET Lions @ MIN Vikings

Both the Lions and Vikings are very similar this season but of the two, Minnesota look strongest here. Especially as the Lions could be without Kenny Golladay (hip injury) and Matt Stafford (reserve/COVID-19 list). If Stafford’s tests come back negative and he remains asymptomatic, then expect him to not make it easy for the Vikings.

Pick: Lions 1-6, Vikings 1-6, 7-12

CAR Panthers @ KC Chiefs

In their last two games the Panthers have forced only one punt and are making other teams work to get their points. Sadly, the breakout season for Brian Burns doesn’t provide enough to make up for losing the likes of Yetur Gross-Matos and Kawann Short from what was already a struggling defensive. On the other side you’ve got Mahomes, plus we’re likely to see a return from Christian McCaffrey too so I doubt the game is of little concern for the team. Chiefs to score points for fun here.

Pick: Chiefs 1-6, 7-12, 13-18

BAL Ravens @ IND Colts

Let’s be real for a moment – Philip Rivers is carrying that Colts offense. Yes, they’re ranked 5th in yards per pass attempt but they’re literally last for yards per carry. Baltimore however, their defense massively improved on last year but they still appear to be struggling. That said, the Ravens’ running game just came off what I’d say is the best game of their year. They have more weapons on either side of the ball, and will take the victory here.

Pick: Ravens 1-6

PIT Steelers @ DAL Cowboys

Last week we saw some signs of life from the Dallas defense but this will be difficult to keep up when against the Steelers. The Steelers are 7-0 and it’s fairly safe to say, even with Andy Dalton out and either Cooper Rush or Garrett Gilbert in, that the Steelers will continue to go undefeated and score points just for fun.

Pick: Steelers 1-6, 7-12, 13-18

MIA Dolphins @ ARZ Cardinals

When you look at the Dolphins and the Cardinals, you can see how much they’ve improved upon last season. Tua Tagovailoa is settling in to his role as the new QB for Miami, but until he proves he can move the offense, the team has its battles. Their defense is vulnerable, and ranked 32nd (awkward) so expect Kyler Murray to have himself a game.

Pick: Cardinals 1-6

NO Saints @ TB Buccaneers

Not only is this game the biggest of the week, but it features two Super Bowl contenders and the team that takes the win here, takes the edge for winning the division too. Tampa’s pass rush will struggle against a strong Saints offensive line which will heavily protect Drew Brees and block nicely for Alvin Kamara. Plus their offensive will only get stronger when the likes of Michael Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders and Marquez Callaway return to the field. But, whilst Marcus Davenport has given the Saints’ pass rush new life, it’s fairly clear that Tampa’s offensive line will keep Tom Brady safe and give the team the victory.

Pick: Bucs 1-6

NE Patriots @ NY Jets

If there was ever an opportunity for the Jets to win this season – this would be the game. Right now, New England’s rush defense is struggling to stop anyone, but can the likes of La’Mical Perine or Frank Gore benefit? With the lack of talent in the Jet’s pass defense, can Cam Newton make the Jet’s pay? Let’s face it, both teams will play poorly but if anyone is going to take the victory here, it’ll be the Patriots.

Pick: 7-12
