Sunday Night Football Week 11 Matchup – Kansas City Chiefs vs. Las Vegas Raiders

November 22, 2020, 8:20 pm EDT, Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Kansas City Chiefs are 8-1 this year as they look to defend their Super Bowl title, with their only slip-up coming against the Raiders. They’ll have a chance at revenge here as they travel to Las Vegas to take on Jon Gruden’s squad. The Raiders have been better than expected at 6-3, and sweeping the Chiefs would be a massive accomplishment for this team.

The Chiefs are coming off their bye here, and Andy Reid teams seemingly always are sharp coming off the bye. The Raiders are dealing with some COVID-19 issues, which has complicated their practice week. If Kansas City wins this one the AFC West will be all but over, while Las Vegas will have a real shot at the division title if they can pull off another win here.

Sunday Night Football Betting Odds & Lines Preview

This line has been interesting to watch. It opened around seven before quickly moving to 6.5. From there though it has ticked up, and it currently stands at around eight. Obviously that’s a pretty big move with seven being the second-most important number behind three. The move likely had a lot to do with the aforementioned COVID-19 issues, as virtually the Raiders’ entire starting defense had to miss practice this week due to being on the reserve/COVID list.

The total also ticked up a touch, from 56 to 57. That also might have a lot to do with the COVID stuff, since it’s mostly impacting Las Vegas’ defense. Reid’s offenses are usually pristine coming off the bye, and that’s been the case since well before he was paired with Patrick Mahomes. There were also a whopping 72 points scored the first time these teams played each other, which could be fresh in bettors’ minds.
