# Thread: blackjack streak probability calculator

………………..

I found this linked calculator at a sports betting site
it’s not designed just for blackjack but it can be tweaked to calculate blackjack
I played around with it using the probability of winning a hand playing basic as 46.36% – I know that can vary somewhat according to the rules but probably not much

I found that the probability of a player losing 10 hands in a row playing basic in 1,000 hands is 59.946%
the probability of a player winning 10 hands in a row playing basic is 21.695%
interesting because many can play 1,000 hands in a couple of days pretty easily

the probability of a player playing basic of losing 15 hands in a row if he plays 10,000 hands is 33.347%
pretty interesting because a full time player can easily play 10,000 hands in a month

the probability of a player who plays 200,000 hand of losing 20 hands in a row is 30.268%
a full time player can easily play 200,000 hands in a couple of years

obviously an AP using the illustrious 18 will improve the win % somewhat but I would doubt that it would greatly affect these stats
