As we mentioned earlier this week High Stakes Poker returns to PokerGo on December 16 and until now we didn’t know who was participating.
Yesterday Tom Dwan tweeted (a rarity in itself) from the set of the show with some of the first participants.
High stakes poker coming back guys. Hope I run as good as last time pic.twitter.com/m8auOjG2ic

We counted Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, Brandon Adams, Ben Lamb, John Andress and Jason Koon on that table. The folks over at CardPlayer recognised the chips and suggested the stacks were $100,000+.
As Dwan reminded us it has been seven years since the show, which ran for 98 episodes over seven seasons. For those of you who were not in poker at the time, it truly was one of the most entertaining spectacles in televised poker and we are really hoping PokerGo will recapture the magic.
It will be interesting to see who else comes back for the show from the previous episodes as well as which new crushers make their debut. One would have thought that Daniel Negreanu would have been a lock to return, and Doug Polk would have made a great debut, but given they are about to embark on their heads-up challenge that makes it a lot less likely.
Who do you think we will see on the show? Let us know in the comments:
